GoBaan is built for people who walk toward the mystery.
We are investigators, researchers, skeptics, believers, debunkers, haunted-history fans, EVP collectors, team leaders, solo explorers, and curious people who want to understand haunted places with more care, context, and respect.
These guidelines explain the kind of community we are building.
The short version:
Be curious. Be honest. Be respectful. Do not trespass. Do not fake evidence. Do not be cruel. Leave places, people, and stories better than you found them.
Haunted locations are not just content.
They may be homes, businesses, cemeteries, historic sites, memorials, sacred spaces, abandoned buildings, parks, roads, hotels, hospitals, battlefields, theaters, or places connected to real tragedy.
Treat them with respect.
If a location is private, restricted, unsafe, or closed to the public, do not encourage others to go there without permission.
Behind every haunted story are real people.
Property owners. Residents. Employees. Witnesses. Investigators. Families. Local communities. People connected to the history of a place.
Curiosity is welcome. Entitlement is not.
A lot of haunted places are tied to grief, violence, trauma, illness, injustice, or loss.
GoBaan is not here to turn tragedy into cheap entertainment.
You can be excited about investigation and still be respectful. You can explore frightening stories without mocking the people who lived them. You can document strange experiences without treating the dead like props.
For many of us, ghost hunting is not just about getting scared.
It is about listening.
GoBaan welcomes evidence, reports, personal experiences, investigation logs, photos, audio, video, theories, debunks, and strange moments that do not fit neatly into a box.
But honesty matters.
It is okay to say:
“I don’t know.”
“We could not explain this.”
“This might have a normal cause.”
“This was debunked.”
“This is only a personal experience.”
Good documentation makes the mystery stronger, not weaker.
GoBaan is not just for believers.
Skeptics, debunkers, researchers, historians, and careful investigators are part of what makes paranormal work better.
You are welcome to question evidence, suggest natural explanations, challenge assumptions, and help separate what is strange from what is explainable.
But do it without humiliating people.
Debunk the evidence. Do not attack the person.
If you post content, make sure you have the right to share it.
Give credit when credit is due. Do not upload someone else's investigation footage, EVP, photos, writing, or team materials unless you have permission.
If you are sharing a theory, story, legend, or source from somewhere else, be clear about where it came from when you can.
The paranormal community gets better when we build on each other's work honestly.
Do not encourage dangerous investigations.
Do not promote entering unsafe buildings, tunnels, rooftops, restricted areas, active roads, unstable structures, or private property without permission.
Do not encourage users to investigate alone in unsafe conditions.
Do not pressure people to ignore posted rules, security, weather, wildlife, police, property owners, or common sense.
The best investigation is the one everyone comes home from.
Private homes are different.
If a haunted story involves a private residence, be especially careful. Do not post exact addresses, resident names, personal details, or instructions for finding the home unless that information is already public, appropriate, and safe to share.
Do not encourage people to drive by, knock on doors, film residents, or bother homeowners.
Some places may be haunted. They are still someone's home.
GoBaan exists because too much paranormal work gets scattered, buried, or lost.
When you add to GoBaan, you are helping build a shared record of haunted places, investigations, evidence, debunks, legends, and experiences.
That record works best when we care about accuracy, context, respect, and community.
That is how the work grows.
GoBaan comes from “go” and “baan,” the Thai word for home.
That meaning matters here.
Some of us believe that not every spirit is trying to scare us. Some may be confused, stuck, reaching out, or trying to find home.
You do not have to believe that to use GoBaan.
But we ask everyone to respect the possibility.
GoBaan is a place to investigate seriously, document carefully, challenge honestly, and, when we can, bring compassion into the field.
